こんにちは！ 今回はVanWest Collegeの日本人カウンセラー、RinaとSaraの自己紹介をさせて頂きます。   初めまして！バンクーバー校のRinaです。 私は生まれも育ちも福岡、根っからの博多っ子です。 私は学生時代にオーストラリアへの短期留学、またカナダでの長期語学留学を経験した事があります。 今はカナダで働かせてもらってますが、初めての海外先では私の英語力ゼロでした。 本当にYesかNoしか言えずに相当悔しい思いをしたので、生徒さん英語力との葛藤がよくわかります。(笑)   VanWest Collegeはすごくアットホームですが、同時に勉強するときは勉強する、遊ぶときはしっかり遊ぶというメリハリがついた気持ちの良い学校です。   日本を飛び出してきた勇敢な生徒さんたちは、それぞれ違った目標ややりたい事があると思います。 それを達成してもらえるように、そしてカナダに来て、VanWestに来てよかった！と心から言ってもらえるように、学習面でも生活面でもできる限りサポートさせて頂きたいと思います！ 何かご相談事があれば、いつでもカウンセリングルームに来てもらえたらと思います★   こんにちは！ケロウナ校のSaraです。 今日は私の自己紹介を少しだけさせて頂きますね！ 私は学生時代に1年間アメリカに語学留学／社会人になってから1年間ワーキングホリデーでカナダに留学した経験があります。 私も生徒さんと同じように、語学学校で英語の勉強をするところからスタートしました。英語はずっと1番苦手な教科だったので、まさか自分が将来海外に住むことになるとは、留学前は想像もできませんでした^^ 人生どうなるか分からないところが面白いですね！！   ケロウナ校は小規模な為、生徒さんとの距離がとても近いです。 近すぎて、みんな家族みたいです。 学習プランや将来について、ホームステイの相談、仕事の見つけ方など、どんなことでも真剣に話を聞いて、アドバイス致しますが、生徒さんが自分でやるべきことは、なるべく生徒さんに自身にチャレンジさせるようにしています。 最終的にバンウエストを選んで良かったと思ってもらえるよう、しっかりと英語力を付けさせ、生徒さんが留学前に思い描いた目標を達成できるよう、サポートしています。   初日の緊張した生徒さんの顔、友達と楽しそうに英語で話す姿、EAP300（クラス）に苦しむ様子、仕事が見つかった時や彼氏ができたと報告しに来てくれる時、、、などなど あーみんな可愛いなと、思う瞬間ですね。笑   これからも、生徒さんと近い距離にいられたら良いなと思います。Read More
